A friendly place to fix, build, learn, and belong.

The Box Hill Community Shed is a welcoming space where people from all walks of life come together to share skills, work on hands-on projects, and enjoy good company.

We’re here for connection as much as craft. If you’re after a sense of purpose, a place to belong, or simply a friendly face and something useful to do with your hands, you’re in the right spot. Open to everyone, men and women aged 18 and over. No experience needed, and every skill level is welcome.

What’s on now: Monday bike sessions

Right now we’re putting our energy into bringing bicycles back to life.

Every Monday, 2-5pm, you can:

  • Get your bike repaired or serviced
  • Restore an old frame back onto the road
  • Pick up a quality second-hand bike at a fair price
  • Learn how to do it all yourself, alongside people happy to show you the ropes

Every bike we rescue is one less in landfill and one more person on two wheels. Whether you want a hand with a flat tyre or you’re keen to roll up your sleeves and really learn, there’s a place for you at the bench. Bring a bike, bring a question, or bring nothing but a willingness to get your hands a little greasy.

Can you help?

Got an old bike gathering dust in the garage? We’d love it. Donated bikes and parts keep our sessions running and put affordable, roadworthy bikes back into the community. Drop one off any Monday, or get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
